SP Setia Top Out Uno Melbourne Apartment Tower

SP Setia Top Out Uno Melbourne Apartment Tower

The 65th and last level of Melbourne's new golden residential tower, UNO Melbourne, has been reached.

The 210-meter-tall UNO Melbourne is being built by SP Setia, who hired renowned architect Elenberg Fraser to create the project. It will be located at 119 A'Beckett Street, between Flagstaff Gardens and Carlton Gardens. The facade made of floor to ceiling shimmering golden glass is the most remarkable aspect.

With the first wave of settlements beginning in December 2022, about 88% of the building's 635 flats have already been sold.

The UNO Melbourne apartments have been in high demand, according to Brett Griffith, Director at Colliers Residential Victoria, with sales primarily secured by foreigners, both those who are located overseas and those who are already settled in Melbourne, who are looking to either invest or occupy themselves.

“With Melbourne having been named Australia’s best destination for international students and rated as one of the leading destinations for learning and higher education in the world, UNO is likely to attract many students being located within walking distance to the University of Melbourne and RMIT University.”

With the recent completion of Sapphire by The Gardens in the north-eastern portion of the CBD, SP Setia has a history of completing projects in Melbourne.

UNO Melbourne is one of the last possibilities to get an apartment on a desirable Downtown address, according to SP Setia Melbourne Director See Hunt Soon, who notes that there is currently a shortage of high-quality apartments in important CBD locations.

“With rising construction costs, we see UNO Melbourne as an excellent opportunity for buyers to purchase and invest into a quality brand new apartment at pre-pandemic construction pricing,” Soon said.

Future UNO residents will have access to a variety of services and facilities, including a warm lobby, concierge, and retail establishments on the ground floor, a private dining room with teppanyaki equipment, a resident's lounge, breakout rooms, and a media room on level one.

On level nine, there are wellness amenities such a yoga studio, gym, BBQ area outside, steam room, spa, and swimming pool.

“UNO’s prime location and high-end lifestyle offering with a range of hotel-style amenities and services available to residents, have been particular drawcards for internationals who are also seeing an opportunity to invest in Melbourne’s property market as rents are anticipated to continue to increase during 2023,” Griffith added.

Roberts Co. are in charge of building the tower; they took over the project in April 2022.

Currently, there are one, two, and three bedroom options starting at $6440,000. The project's second stage is expected to be settled by September 2023.
