Simplified Complex Constructions: Haddarco Adopts CR Kennedy's Technology
Haddarco, known for constructing unique and architecturally-inspired large-scale buildings, has adopted Leica iCON technology from CR Kennedy to streamline the implementation of complex digital designs in the field. This move comes after the company faced challenges in aligning surveying with intricate building designs, leading to delays and increased costs.
The Leica iCON surveying system has enabled Haddarco to take its digital designs to the construction site, offering greater control over the setup of critical design elements, regardless of complexity. This technology proved particularly valuable during the second stage of the Islamic College of Melbourne project, where 970 pieces of structural steel had to be accurately positioned, and concrete columns and steel plates required precise placement.
By integrating all drawings (architectural, structural, and civil) into the Leica iCON system, Haddarco's project teams can confidently ensure that all elements align correctly, reducing rework and material waste. The technology has not only improved accuracy but also eliminated the need for manual grid line measurements, saving time and enhancing efficiency.
The Leica iCON has provided Haddarco with more control over project lifecycles, from design to construction and completion, resulting in time and cost savings, as well as improved onsite accuracy and efficiency. CR Kennedy's support during the adoption process and the system's versatile applications in various project elements, including external work, landscaping, and civil projects, have further cemented its value to the company.
Haddarco's positive experience with the Leica iCON technology and the excellent support from CR Kennedy have led to its adoption across a wide range of projects, underscoring its importance in enhancing project outcomes for large contractors.
