Queensland Towers Are Approved by Morris and KTQ

In 2023, KTQ Group and Morris Group have had a strong start thanks to the approval of three projects between them.

The Gold Coast's 27-35 Garfield Terrace luxury residential project Seren, designed by KTQ and Little Boat Projects, is now ready to start construction after receiving approval from the city council.

KTQ Group is managed by billionaire Brian Flannery and his wife Peggy. On the 2025 sq m plot, they submitted the plans for the 41-story residential and adults-only hotel skyscraper in April 2022.

The tower will have 60 residential flats and 60 short-term lodging rooms, with construction costs estimated to be north of $20 million.

In addition to a five-bedroom, two-story penthouse, there will be 56 three-bedroom apartments, three four-bedroom apartments that each occupy one level.

The eighth floor will house a day spa and fitness center, while the first floor will house a restaurant and bar.

Masonry, a residential development by KTQ Group on Brisbane's Breakfast Creek Road, has also received clearance.

The 3254 square meter property at the intersection of Breakfast Road and Skyring Terrace was purchased by Flannery for $19.25 million in 2021.

In addition to a rooftop pool, studios for yoga and pilates, therapy rooms, an outdoor space with a fire pit, and a restaurant located in a garden conservatory with public access via a glass lift, Masonry will include a 16-story office tower with large circular bay windows on each floor.

The Bates Smart and Little Boat Projects-designed tower has a gross floor space of 30,535 square meters.

At 13 Australia Avenue in Broadbeach, Morris Property Group has secured approval for a 348-apartment complex.

A 40-story northern tower and a 27-story southern tower with four common basement levels for 396 parking spaces and 145 bicycle spaces will make up the structure, which was designed by Guida Moseley Brown Architects.

Two swimming pools, two indoor gyms, two outdoor yoga areas, three BBQ pits, and a residents lounge will all be located on the second floor.

The northern tower will have 220 units, while the southern tower will have 128.
