After receiving approval from the Sydney planning panel and taking advantage of changes to the local environment plan, Kassis Homes will proceed with a 196-apartment project in Castle Hill.

The 13- and 18-story towers, dubbed Grand Reve, will cost $69 million to construct and will be located at 6 Garthowen Crescent.

The project, led by Sam Kassis, will replace seven residential homes on a 6063sq m amalgamated site near Castle Towers Shopping Centre in the suburb of Castle Towers, which is located 30 kilometers north-west of Sydney's CBD.

The two buildings, designed by Turner Studio, would be linked by a traditional brick podium that would be built on top of four levels of 236 parking spaces in the basement.

A number of developers were projected to flock to Sydney's north-west development corridor as a result of the 2019 local environmental plan.

Toplace has already proposed a high-rise building at 2 Garthowen Crescent, which will demolish the existing two-story house, but no proposal has yet been submitted.

“Both tower buildings complement each other, expressing similar architectural language of building detailing, albeit with a different palette of accents, materials and colours,” the application said, “material finishes such as face brick in an earthy colour is proposed throughout the four to five storey podium.”

Arcadia was part of the landscaping design team, which included adding greenery to the designated communal open space and public areas through site links and vertical planting.

A variety of large-scale schemes, including the Castle Towers masterplan, advanced last year.

A mid-rise residential project on Partridge Avenue and Cadman Crescent was also approved in the nearby Hills Showground precinct.
