Manboom Group has submitted updated development proposals for a new 588-room hotel near Sydney Airport to Bayside Council.
The project will consist of two 12-story buildings on Baxter Road in Mascot, designed by PBD Architects. The modified plans build on the approval of a 13-story, 301-room hotel in the same area.

The first three floors of the buildings include a platform with a lobby, porte-cochere, parking, and a gym. The location will also include a variety of cafés, billboards, pathways, and a community rooftop space.
Manboom feels the land is appropriate for a short-term lodging precinct, according to the billboard company's proposal.
The application states that "it (the hotel project) is consistent with the existing business and apartment buildings, as well as the future mixed-use and residential character of the neighborhood."
"The plan will add to the locality's quality and transitional identity in a favorable way."
